TVGC Rules and Constitution

1] Purpose:
i) T.V.G.C. has been formed to help and encourage its members to enjoy gardening and to help others to maintain a tidy garden.
2] Committee:
i) The Club will have a Committee to run its affairs and will be formed by Elective Officers such as:
Chairperson, Vice Chair, Treasurer Secretary, Show Secretary, Social Secretary, Membership Secretary, Publicity Officer,  plus one person in reserve.
3] Sub-committees from this Committee sub-committees can be formed as required.
4] Meetings: Meetings of the Executive Committee will be arranged as required.
5] A member will be entitled to the following benefits:
i) To vote at any meeting of Members.
ii) To exhibit at any of the Club Shows.
iii) To receive a copy of any literature circulated to Members.
6] Finance:
i) The expenses of the Club shall be met by Subscription and monies raised by other activities of the Club.
ii) The proceeds of these other activities should be handed to the Treasurer as soon as possible.
7] AGM:
i) An Annual General Meeting will be held each February.  Notice will be given to members at least one month prior to the AGM.
8] Rules:
i) These rules should only be amended at an AGM.
ii) Notice of Amendment must be sent to the Secretary in writing, no less than 14 days before the date of the AGM.
iii) Notice of items for discussion at the AGM must be sent to the Secretary in writing no less than 14 days before the date of the AGM.
