Yet another year begins, our Spring Show and Autumn Show were well supported. Well done, because we didn’t know what the weather would be like. So start planting and lets have another good year’s Shows. Without your entries we wouldn’t have a Show.
Your Committee have worked hard on your Journal with outings and events. Without you we wouldn’t have a club, so we would like to thank you all for your support.
I myself would like to thank my Committee for all their hard work.
So good luck everyone.
What's on in July?
At our last meeting we welcomed Terry Clare who came to talk to us about wasps, bees and gardeners. It was lovely to meet Terry and learn about the origins of bees and wasps and their importance to us as gardeners and to the production of food across the planet. Look out for Terry and the Kent County Show along with the British Beekeeping Association.
Next month will be a busy one. We'll be paying close attention and taking notes on the demonstrations by Pat and Clare, who'll be guiding us through what we can and could do for our annual show. There will be crafts to try, baked goods to taste, reminders of existing and new rules, ideas and more encouragment than a mum on sports day.
We know that our gardens have been taking a bit of a battering from the weather recently but with improvements on the horizon we fully expect there to be plenty of produce and blooms entred into this years show.
And finally a reminder to get forms in to Pat if you'd like to entre into the Kent County Show and the front and rear agrden competitions.
